Des Moines resident Joyce Lock is the creator of Wine Wars: A Trivia Game for Wine Geeks and Wannabes and Foodie Fight: A Trivia Game for Serious Food Lovers. What began as her graduate school thesis project became two bestselling trivia games beloved by food and wine enthusiasts.

Joyce earned her master's degree in gastronomy from Boston University, where she also received certificates in wine and spirits and the culinary arts.
